WATER, WATER, WATER PROGECT

In this progect, we had to follow step by step instructions that told us to make graphs, charts, and research different topics. This was an exciting progect to do and I can't wait to start phase II.

1.

My personal link related to what we had been learning about water so far because it talked about how dire of a situation these Africans are in. However, it impressed upon me exactly how bad the situation is because it was riddled with statistics.

2.

1.That according to the WHO the Millennium Development Goal for 75% of the population of the world would have access to clean water by 2015 would fall short of half a billion people

2. Also, I learned that "only 59% of the world’s population had access to adequate sanitation systems."

3. Another interesting thing I hadn't even thought of was that "Overcrowding in urban slums makes it even more difficult to control sanitation issues and disease outbreaks associated with exposure to raw sewage."

4. I also learned that the poor living in slums pay more for less clean water that that of the rich, and the rich pay less for cleaner water than the poor

5. Another challenge for them that hadn't even crossed my mind is diseases. They ravage through towns leaving little to none survivors.
